Watch out Port Aranzas...here we come!!

We decided to take a short trip down to Port Aranzas this past weekend! And I am so glad we did! We really can't take one big family vacation, which is ok, because these 3 day ones work just perfect for us! My sister and Juan joined our little group and we headed south! We got there around 1 on Friday and checked in at the condo. I have to say, the condo we rented was a very nice place, especially for the price. It was clean, roomy, and not too fancy, (sigh of relief--I wouldn't want to have to replace anything nice!), but perfect for our stay!
As soon as we got there, Leanna and Kayla were ready to hit the beach! And the condo was right off the beach, so they could see it form the window and were patiently waiting for the grown ups to get ready!

As soon as we got a nice spot to set up our canopy, they headed straight for the water! They love the beach so much. Well, at least Leanna and Kayla do. Mia wasn't such a big fan of the water...or the beach...or the sun...or the outside!! I managed to take a few pictures of all the girls before they went swimming, or in Mia's case, before she took her nap.

These next few pictures are of just the older 2. By this time, Mia had fallen asleep on my sissy's arms. I really love these pictures of the girls. It just shows how much they love each other and how well they CAN get along! They do well together, for the most part--but there are days where I question why we decided to have them so close in age! My favorite picture is the one where Leanna is holding Kayla up--Kayla was afraid of the "bigger" waves, so Leanna would help her! It was the cutes thing EVER!

That same night, we decided to enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi! I was really impressed with the whole condo area. There were 2 pools, 2 jacuzzi tubs, a tennis court,a playground area, a picnic and BBQ area (with about 6 grills),and a game room/clubhouse! I really really liked the place. If we ever go back, which I'm hoping we do, we will stay there again! Oh, this first picture was taken by Leanna. She really has gotten better with my camera. Since her hands are so small, she would always slant the camera, but now she's got the hang of it! And yes, we put our 3 yr old and 5 yr old in the jacuzzi, even though it says they are not allowed. And let me tell you--they loved it!!

Ok, here are several from the next day.

We decided to go shopping for a while before we hit the beach after lunch. We only went in a few store to browse. But we had to take pictures in front of this huge shark while we were store hopping! And then we decided to have a sweet treat--ice cream!! The ice cream place was super adorable. But the service was horrific. If we hadn't got the girls so excited about ice cream, I would have left without buying any! You would think you could be friendly when you see 3 little girls and maybe say "hello", but we didn't even get a smile from the owner/server! Maybe she was having a bad day--I don't care. You work in the service industry, please be polite! Anyway. moving on!! Here are the pics of the rest of Saturday!

I LOVE this picture of my sissy and her mini-her! Super cute!

We tried to get a few good pictures with the sun setting in the back! And they would have been a 100 times better if I had charged my battery and the camera wasn't in the ISO mode!! Ughh! Oh well...shoulda, woulda, coulda! Too little too late! I still like them!

Oh, and BTW, you will not see full length pics of me in a bathing suit, because I don't want to scare people. Plus, with my newly acquired incision and staple scars, there is NO way I will ever sport a 2 piece!! And I'm usually behind the camera anyway!
Here are pictures from our Sunday morning. We walked around the condo area one more time, went to say goodbye to beach, and went shopping one more time before we headed back home!

Well, it was fun little vacation with the people we love. Thanks to my sissy and bro-in law for putting up with our craziness for 2 1/2 days!!
Oh and another thing I totally missed--getting pictures of us in the gorgeous and colorful Texas wildflowers that we saw ALL along the way! Again, woulda, shoulda, coulda!! Oh well, maybe next time!
