More of Leanna's Art work!

I have so much to do lately, and I feel like I haven't been updating the blog as often. But I have been a busy woman! Anyway, I had meant to post more of Leanna's artwork, since now it is getting more and more detailed. And each drawing tells a story. It's crazy how much detail she puts into them.
This is a picture from Barbie Fairytopia.
Pictured is Laverna (the purple one), Alina,
and her friend...sorry I can't remember these characters!
This is her birthday party-all the girls are dressed up. Notice the feet.
They're kind of creepy-BUT she was trying to show that their nails were done. She is super proud of her star, now that she can draw one!
Again, her name in bold letters. This is all her friends as fairies

This is a rainy day. her friend Sarah is on the left, Kayla is in the middle, and Ariel is on the right(she's jumping out from a flower bush). The brown parts are flower pots. But my most proudest part is the "heart" Jesus, God, Mom, and Dad!
Notice all the curlies on the letters...she went back and made the letters pretty by making them curly! She is too funny!

She has tons of drawings everywhere. Our refrigerator is covered in her art. I've thrown some away because there are just too many. Pat finally got her a sketch pad, so she has some drawings there too. That book is great because we take it where ever we go. And it keeps her busy! We were in San Antonio last week, and this guy said that when we give children an 81/2 by 11 sheet of paper to draw, we are hindering their imagination. We should give them bigger paper, so their imagination can run wild when they draw. Leanna does pretty well on her normal sheet, but when she draws on the easel, her drawings are super detailed and there is a story to it! So I guess he was right! Anyway, enjoy!

School is Back!!

Monday was our first day of school. We have been waiting all summer for this day...but I have also not been waiting for it! Confusing, I know! Normally the girls go with me at 8:30 til school starts. But since it was the 1st day, pat and James decided to take them, so that I can get stuff done if I needed to. James was amazing, because he took pictures for me,since I couldn't be there. So here are a few of them!

My first day, was really good. We only had 2 kids that cried. One of them stopped immediately after the dad left. The other one took about 30 minutes to calm down. But once we went outside, he was happy as could be! We had a few nervous moms that were hesitant to leave, but we assured them that their kids would be fine..and they kids were fine...it was the mommies that needed some "loving."
Leanna's 1st day was OK. She has been super close to me this summer and has been a great help with both her sisters. So, going to her class and not being with me was a challenge for her. She didn't want to stay in class, but wanted to come in mine! After a few minutes, pat walked her back to her class and sat with er for a while. And then everything was fine. During her potty break, she peeked into my class to say HI and she was fine!
Kayla, of course had a great day. She has her same teacher from last year..AND some of her classmates are also in that class. And a big bonus for her, is that Camden is also in her class. So she adjusted great!
And today is Wednesday, and everyone is doing outstanding so far! Although today, I was a bit more tired than usual! I forgot how much work it is to work in a pre-school. But it is very fun and worth it!

Happy Birthday to me!

This past Wednesday was my birthday! Oh my gosh! I cannot believe I am 33 years old!! Wow!

Moving on...I worked at the school that day. We had our training until 2 and then we could work in our classrooms. This year, I am not an aide, I am a teacher. BUT, thankfully, I am a teacher in a class with another teacher! We are teachers for the older 2 year olds! It is a big challenge , but at this age, the are somewhat starting to like to learn new things. And it is during this age that they are aslo potty training! Ok, so back to my birthday. Mrs. Kim and I were working in our room, when Pat and the girls showed up. They brought me some gorgeous flowers that included my favorite flower, Gerber daisies, in my favorite colors (2 shades of pink!). The arrangement also had some lilies, which I love! Anyway, I thought it was super sweet that they came to the school and brought them to me. I got some sweet kisses from all of them too. But sadly, I had to continue working!
After I got home, we decided to go have dinner at Saltgrass, because I LOVE their cheesecake!! When Mia was born, I had them bring me cheesecake from there too! Dinner was fabolous of course. And the cheesecake was amazing!! I had a great birthday! Thanks toall who helped it make super extra special!

Just Random Summer Pictures

I really don't have a story behind any of these pictures. They are just random pictures from this summer. We are at restaurants, in our backyard, at our family/friends backyards, or just in the house. They are all candid pictures of our girls. There are some of Mia when she first started sitting up and while she was sick (her eyes are puffy and red from her cold/cough)! Summer will soon be over and it feels like we didn't do much with the girls this year. But this economy and extremely hot weather has definitely affected our family. Luckily for us, our girls are easily entertained. So spending time in the house hasn't been that bad. But soon school will be here, so we have to cherish these days that we have together, whether it's inside the house or out on the town!
So here are the pics...enjoy!
