Why I'm Not Bloggin...

Well, we have a major virus on our computer that has all my pictures and the capability to upload all my pics from the Nikon. Therefore, I cannot upload pictures to blogger without timing itself out. Boo! I always try to upload to Blogger before Facebook. But since I can upload pics to Facebook, there are more recent pictures there.
Anyway, moving on. I will M.I.A. in the blog world until we get rid of the virus or buy the Windows 7 upgrade, whichever comes first. Or if I decide to murder this computer, maybe getting a new computer will come first!
But a little bit of what we've been doing: beach, hanging out with friends, crafting, gymnastics, swimming, going to Cici's. Or just plain ol' hanging out at the casa (where we can walk around in flip flops and PJs until noon!).
Ok...that is all....

My Baby k is now big girl K

This post was one that was held "captured" by our virus infected computer. So it is a long overdue post. So, forgive me if it's not an interesting read!
Happy 5th birthday Kayla Bear! My middle baby turned 5 on a hot July day! We went to Schlitterbahn to spend the day having some water fun. We invited Melinda and her kids to spend the day with us. My sister also came with us. And it was a great day to be at a water park. Thank you Stacy for always making it easier for our large group to enjoy this park!

Schlitterbahn is so much fun! BUT you always forget how hot it is...until you see yourself at home and all your tan lines are horrible! Anyway, a fun time was had by all! Thank you Melinda and family for coming to spend Kayla's special day with us. And thank you tia Elida for making our day extra special!
We had a cake for her at home. I can't believe she had to blow out 5 candles!! It really makes me sad! My babies are so big now!

Happy Birthday America!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY....from these pretty girls!
A nice picture of the girls and I. Thanks Kayla for having your fan in front of my fat rolls! :-)
Ok, so my oldest sissy had told us about this family event being held in the Memorial Museum area. We figured we should check it out since (1)it was free and (2) we didn't have anything planned during the day on the 4th!

So we went to the Bayou Bend Museum area...and Oh-Em-Gee...what a cool place! It's a park/museum/historic home of "Houston's Daughter" Ima Hogg--yes, that is her name! Anyway, her home is now the museum, which has a LOT of nice antique-ish furniture, and amazing paintings, and gorgeous stuff! Yep-stuff. You have to go there to see it.

As we walked to the museum area, there was a band playing music-- very cool! Mia loved it. We then walked over to the open area(? courtyard, I guess?) and took a bunch of pictures because it is so beautiful there! Anyway, they had fun stuff was planned in the courtyard area. Making a fan was one craft--loved it--and the fans were so cute! You could sign the Declaration of Independence--pretty cool; except the feather ink thing was hard to use. So, we ended up using a Sharpie! We did the house/museum tour, then we walked around all the beautiful (picture perfect) areas. I mean this place is beautiful. I want to go to it again, when it's not so hot or not so crowded! It's a must see if you live in Houston. I vaguely remember going here with my HCC or UH people. (But when you're in college you don't want to enjoy these things...)
This is so cool---I wish we could have really signed with the ink!The girls (sisters)
VS. the grown girls (sisters).
After almost 3 hours at Bayou Bend, we went home for a nap and early dinner. Then we headed out to the Rig (the Pearland High School stadium) for the annual Celebration of Freedom. The girls did a few rides with Laci. Then we sat on the field and waited for the fireworks. It was a lot of fun! I love the 4th of July. The girls really enjoyed themselves.

*This post should have had way more pictures but we have a major virus on our computer, so uploading pictures is a chore--it really takes about an hour to upload 10-15 picutres! Soon, we will upgrade our computer, so until then, it tests my patience each time I have a new post!

Anyway, thanks to those people who have sacrificed everything for our freedom. America really is the home of the brave. We could not live in a better country! Happy 4th of July!
