July 2011

Ok, here is the 411 of our July...kind of in a nutshell...but in a long(er) nutshell. I'm not that great at keeping it short and simple!
~~
Ok, Leanna joined Pearland Elite Gymnastics! Which she absolutely loves! She started in July in the beginner class. Currently she is in the Advanced class! She does great, she loves it, I love the staff and the gym! We are all happy!
~~We took a short 2 1/2 day mini vacation to San Antonio. We stayed with Cheri. Pat, her and the girls went to Jellystone Park while I met up with Sylvia and shopped the San Marcos outlets!! What a fun day that was! For all of us. we also went to Fiesta, TX. We didn't stay very long because it was dreadfully HOT! But we did enjoy it. Thank you Lenny for getting us passes! And the last night was spent in the pool hanging out with Cheri, Zach, Cole and Janean! (I'm sure I didn't spell her name right..one day I will get it!)~~The girls and I wen to Second Baptist's VBS. We took Sarah along with us. The week was a lot of fun! I loved my class...and the girls loved their class! I can't wait til next years! Oh, it was a "Round Up!" theme.

~In July, cousin-aunt Dawn got married to Tim! Both the girls were flower girls. Cuteness. Here are pictures from the rehearsal dinner and from the wedding. Oh the wedding was at Heaven on Earth in Missouri City...gorgeous place! And gorgeous wedding. It was fun...til Kayla busted my lip!! And til Mia threw up in my hands and on my arms. That's when we knew it was time to go home!! Congrats Tim and Dawn!!! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!

~Sometime in July, pat took the girls to NASA. They had never been there before. And they really enjoyed it. Now when they see a space movie, they can kind of relate to what they are watching. That evening we went to the beach. And after the beach, we went to La King's Confectionery. What a cute and yummy place! We HAVE to go back.

My Baby k is now big girl K

This post was one that was held "captured" by our virus infected computer. So it is a long overdue post. So, forgive me if it's not an interesting read!
Happy 5th birthday Kayla Bear! My middle baby turned 5 on a hot July day! We went to Schlitterbahn to spend the day having some water fun. We invited Melinda and her kids to spend the day with us. My sister also came with us. And it was a great day to be at a water park. Thank you Stacy for always making it easier for our large group to enjoy this park!

Schlitterbahn is so much fun! BUT you always forget how hot it is...until you see yourself at home and all your tan lines are horrible! Anyway, a fun time was had by all! Thank you Melinda and family for coming to spend Kayla's special day with us. And thank you tia Elida for making our day extra special!
We had a cake for her at home. I can't believe she had to blow out 5 candles!! It really makes me sad! My babies are so big now!

Froberg's Farm

On a gorgeous Tuesday of our Spring Break, we took the girls to Froberg's farm. It was the perfect time to go. There were tons of fresh and red strawberries to pick from. But as the week passed, I kept seeing comments on Facebook that there were no strawberries left! So we picked the right day! All 3 girls enjoyed getting to pull them off the actual plant. And Mia of course, couldn't help herself and had few while we were picking! As we were walking to the store part, a lady approached us and asked if she could take pictures of the girls. She said she worked for the Alvin newspaper and was doing an article on Froberg's---so, we'll see if that's true and if they use their picture! And this year I wanted to take a picture in front of the that huge tree. I got a few of Pat and the girls. Then a sweet mom offered to take one of all us. Notice, the big round booty that also made it into our family picture! It was classic. She took 2 pictures and both of them have this lady's rear end in the picture. I even saw it in the ones of Pat and the girls. Oh, well...you get what you get and you don't throw a fit! Those are some cute strawberries in the picture above! ;0)

After Froberg's we went to Resoft park to feed the ducks and play for a little bit. While there I took some cute pictures of pat and the girls. I'll probably end up using them on his Father's day card. But I also set the camera on the self timer mode and got a decent picture of the 5 of us!
Oh, when we got home, Mia went down for her nap. The bigger girls decorated lunch sacks and filled them with strawberries and they took them to our neighbors!
