Christmas Eve/Christmas Day 2011

On Christmas Eve we went to the candle light service at Second Baptist.  It was a beautiful service.  I was  happy that Pat was able to go with us to church!  After church we went over to Juan & Elida's house for our family Christmas Eve gathering.  It's amazing to see how many "families" come to the family event!  I love it.  Every year we add new members!!  We had tons of food, tons of laughs, tons of fun.  Te girls got to open up their presents. And then the adults got to exchange theirs.  We left around 12:30.  We had to get home home and get things ready for Santa.
This year Santa only brought the girls 3 gifts.  Baby Jesus got 3; so they only got 3.  They got a big one and 2 smaller ones.  Plus the stuff in their stockings.  Christmas morning the big girls got up all excited.  Mia, on the other hand, was not as thrilled to be woken up at 8:30!  But once they went downstairs, they were ALL excited.  They loved the big gifts.  And they loved opening up all their other gifts too!  Here are pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas morning!

Giving grandma hugs.

Singing, "Happy Birthday Jesus" while decorating the mini tree.

Tio Omar loving on the girls.

Averie was loving opening up gifts--happy baby girl.

Santa came to our house.  He left a barbie doll house and a play kitchen, along with some other gifts!

Thanksgiving Tues-Thurs-Fri

This year we decided to have another pre Thanksgiving dinner with a few friends.  It was smaller than usual because we decided to do it a week before!  But the few that were here, had a good time!  The fried turkey was good, the sides were delicious, the desserts were great, the drinks were awesome and the people were AMAZING!  And look at all these cute girls! Could they be any cuter?!?
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving at moms was the usual..All the kids and their kids!   It's amazing that  our family keeps getting bigger and bigger!  I love it!    We had a pretty laid back Thanksgiving at her house.  We sat around, ate, talked, and best of all--played with the babies!  Brooklyn is now 8 months, and Averie is 6 months, I believe.  They are both happy girls.  And of course, the girls and Siena, could not get enough of them both!  We also did our usual family photo.  I am not sure how many years I will be able to take this picture.  My brothers really HATE taking this picture.  But it's their choice to be in it!  So this picture has everyone except for Omar & Juan (but Juan was at home sick--so he couldn't be in it).  Look at how big our family is getting!   Here are the big cousins playing outside.
Even Macy was in the picture!  Good girl.  We miss our Penny and she would have been in the picture too!
 The grand kids and Averie, the great grand daughter!

Daddy and his great grand daughter Averie.  This is the first great grandchild--she is such a happy and sweet baby!

Daddy and Brooklyn and Averie.
See...these babies are so happy!!
We also had the Landry Thanksgiving at Walter's house.  I did not get a picture at all from there.  I forgot I even had the camera.  We had a good time of course.  Almost everyone was there--hopefully at Christmas everyone will be there!

St. Andrew's Pumpkin Patch & Dewberry Farm

I apologize in advance--my blog is out of order--because I've been out of order!! Well, here are some pictures of our October fun...

Pumpkin picture time!! We normally go to St. Andrews in Pearland that has a great pumpkin patch every year. It was a last minute decision to go..and I'm glad we did. Some of the pictures have a weird coloring--I didn't realize the camera was on the ISO setting and also the sun was setting. But we got some cute pictures..Enjoy!
~~~ Our annual Dewberry Farm trip almost didn't happen this year either! The Sunday that we had planned to go, Houston got a really bad storm that came through. It hadn't rained in months...and on the day we decide to go, it pours down--all day!! So we attempted to go again. And this time the weather was perfect. It actually got pretty warm once we were there for a while. But we all managed to have a great time. This year, we took my daddy with us. It was super sweet to have mom and dad enjoy this little trip with the girls. I would glance over at dad and I could see that he was getting tired, but he was so happy. He pulled the wagon, he rode the train, he walked the corn maze, and he was loving life with his grandbabies!! Mom always loves to do thing s with the girls. I was happy to see her enjoying being there, checking out the pumpkins, trying to "borrow" corn, and having fun with Pat, James, Sylvia and myself! It was a good trip. I really hope to make it a tradition. And I always want to include my parents. it is time for them to enjoy themselves.
We did so much this year while we were there. But we didn't pick flowers!!! We ALWAYS pick flowers. But since Texas had no rain all summer long, the flowers weren't so big and the corn maze wasn't very tall. But we did see the Christmas trees flourishing! We don't use a real tree for Christmas. But if we did, we would totally go there to cut our tree. (maybe)
As usual we were all wiped on the way home. We ate too much, walked a lot, and had too much fun! I can't wait to do it again next year!
Thank you Dewberry Farm, for a fun time with my family and my friends!!
