A Short Trip to San Antonio

Last weekend we decided to take a short trip to San Antonio to visit Aunt Cheri and Uncle Zach. We hadn't really gone to see them this summer, so wanted to visit them one last time this summer. We left Thursday right after school. We made it in right in time for dinner. That evening, Pat and the girls went swimming for a while. The we just relaxed and spent time together!
The next day, we all went to the Riverwalk area. We took the girls on the little river ride, and just walked around the riverwalk. it was a very hot day, even with the sun not being out, it was still extremely hot. So we headed back to the house. Once we got back, Pat, Cole and the girls all went for a swim. When Uncle Zach got home, we went for a walk int his amazing trail area they have behind their backyard. It's a huge park. There is deer there. The trail is a long trail, but since none of us had walking or trail friendly shoes, we only went for a short walk! Then it was back to swimming! And back to relaxing and hanging out!
It was a sweet short trip, but we loved every minute of it. We all got see each other and we enjoyed each other's company!
Oh yeah, the pictures of the hummingbirds are included because Cheri has these bird feeders all over her backyard(which is beautiful, despite the drought San Antonio has). And the hummingbirds would just flock to them. It was amazing. I had never seen a hummingbird before, well in books and pictures, but not up close. And they are just so tiny, and beautiful. They are quick little birds too. So I included a few of the MANY pictures I took of them!!
