Ok, so this post will be all over the place. It is past due for starters! Better late than never!
The week before school started we decided to have one last summer trip. We love the beach, so we planned a trip to a beach. Not just any beach, but one in Alabama! Yikes! Another 8 hour trip with all three girls?! Plus mom? But, it wasn't bad at all. As a matter of fact, I am willing to do it again and again....because
ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA was AWESOME!!!
Oh my, if you ever want to see peaceful, serene, and clear water at the same time...please go to Orange Beach--it's right next to Gulf Shores, another beach town! It is a gorgeous beach. We were lucky because we got there on the first day of their non-peak season...which means there were no crowds, and the hotel rates were cheaper. We stayed at the Hapmton Inn, for 2 nights, and it was worth it. We right on the beach, the hotel had a fabolous pool, and it was a new hotel--only 4 months since it had opened.
Anyway, we had an amazing time. We got there Monday morning around 9ish. And as soon as we unloaded, we hit the beach. And it was like that until Wednesday when we left! And we did not want to leave.
Since all my pictures are all over the place, I'll just list what we did each day.
Monday, we started off at the beach. We were there til around 4--then we went to the pool. We were there til about 6. After that we got dressed and went to have dinner and ice cream. We went back to the pool til closing time-10 pm.
The next morning (Tuesday) we got up and went swiming at the pool. Mom and I snuck out for a few hours to go to Foley to do some outlet shopping! When we got back, mom and Mia napped while the rest of us walked the beach, added to the sandacastle they had made earlier, and swam more. Tuesday evening we got to see a wedding on the beach--what a gorgeous day & place for such a special occasion. Big shout out to the bride for having gerber daisies in her bouquet--very cute!! That evening, as the sun was setting we did a little photo shoot ourselves. Note to self:TAKE THE TRIPOD next year! I will post pics from our photo shoot in another post! After pictures, we went to dinner..and back to the pool. We never got tired of the pool!
Wednesday morning (our last morning)--we woke up and had breakfast, and went to the pool. We also went to the beach for about an hour. Then back to the pool for a few more hours. At noonish we slowly made our way up to our room to pack and leave!
Our drive home was kind of sad. We didn't want to leave. But we did enjoy ourselves. Maybe next year, we will stay until Thursday!
Ok, enjoy our little mini vacation pictures!

I didn't know if I had mentioned in the previous posts...but we got the girls a trampoline! Fun times for them--they love that thing! Great investment!

And here are other pictures from beach trips we took in August...to Galveston.

Summer Lovin'
The best way to spend a hot summer evening....having snow cones!! I am the happiest person knowing that we can walk around the corner to AJ's Snow Cones and get a snow cone for a $1!! Love it. AJ's will be making some money off us this summer. Even at just a $1 each, we go there way too often! Here are my girlies enjoying the hot days of summer: snow cones, hula hoops, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk! Best time ever!

Power Up VBS
Power Up!! It was a crazy, but at on of fun week at Second Baptist for Vacation Bible School. The girls had an amazing time. I was super busy everyday with the babies (15 mos-22 mos) but I loved it. My sister even came to help 2 of the days!
This VBS was themed to everyone being Superheroes. There are 4 "z" super heroes that sing, dance, and teach the word of God. Each day they performed and taught the lesson on stage and the kids were all into it. Both the older girls can sing and probably do the dance moves to most of the songs. Mia will start dancing to the songs when we listen to them in the car or in their rooms! It's crazy. This VBS was a great experience for me and for the girls as well. Here are pics from several days, in front of the Superhero posters. Oh we invited Charlee to join us for the last 3 days. She also had a great time!Ok, this post took forever to post and I'm not even sure that it's complete...but it's time to post it!
