Halloween 2011

This Oct 31 was very busy for us. In the daytime we had Kayla's field trip. In the evening Leanna had gymnastics til 6. The little girls got to pose for some extra pictures while Leanna was in class. Then we quickly fed everyone--pizza-quick and easy. And we headed out to Shadycrest's Trunk or Treat. The church is still under construction,so the back parking lot was used. Even though the space was smaller, there were plenty of cars. Maybe next year, I will be better prepared and actually have our car there!
After we were done at church, we came back home and started walking our neighborhood. Laci and her mom and dad met up with us. This year, our neighborhood was busy!! I saw a few of my preschool kids out there. I was happy to see so many kids and parents out in our usual-too-quiet-neighborhood. I loved it. I hope it is like that every year! Anyway, it was a fun night. The girls did great. We had too much candy!
Oh this year we had a Tinkerbell, Rosetta and Cinderella--I think next year we will have to buy costumes and not rely in our dress up closet!

Leanna saw one of her school friends and took a pic with her.

Playing horseshoe--they were so into it!

We had to take a picture with our sweet neighbor, Mrs. Rita. She had an extra special treat box for them! This was pretty cool--a lollipop tree!
Posing with Chloe at the end of Trunk or Treat.One more group picture.

Pre Halloween Fun

This post will be quick and easy:

~Kindergarten Field Trip-Old MacDonald Farm, Oct 31
I went with Kayla's class on their field trip to Old MacDonald Farm in Humble, TX. The drive wasn't that long. And the trip wasn't bad at all. I got to chaperon a whole 2 kids, Kayla and her classmate K (we'll keep it at that!). Both the girls went from animal to animal to horse ride to train ride to play and to snack with NO problem! It was easy for me! All we needed to do was give them a potty break and take them to the patch before noon--no biggie for me! Yes, I am that good!! ;-)

Here are several pictures from the trip. And there is even a class picture--very cute!

~~~~~~~~~Elite Spookfest, Oct 28th
Friday night was a busy night. Kayla went on a playdate with her friend Madi. They went to the Pearland HS football game. It worked out well because Leanna had an event at her gymnastics place--Spookfest. So she went with Madi and her family. And Leanna went with Sarah to Elite. Teri did a great job with their makeup--don't they look like some cute fairies? There was a haunted house at this party. And the girls REALLY wanted to go...so we waited and waited for their turn. The pics show them holding hands because they were nervous!! I kept telling them that it was not a good idea. Oh, but they insisted...well, when the first group went through and 4 girls came out crying, Leanna quickly changed her mind!! Sarah was being brave and wanted to go. I know she probably is mad at me, but I called her mom and told her she wanted to do it. Mom quickly said, "Tell her NO!" So we ended up going home. I am glad we didn't let them go. Number 1: It was probably too scary for them and number 2: they would have had nightmares since they did the haunted house at 11--yes, at night!! ~~~Storybook Character Parade, Oct 28th
Friday morning Kayla had her book character parade. She chose the book, Camilla the Cupcake Fairy--a book they chose at our preschool book fair. They LOVE this book, so she insisted she had to be Camilla. It was great for me. The character wears all kinds of colors and patterns and fairy wings! And hello!?! I have 3 girls--we have fairy wings in plenty of colors! So here is my cute little Camilla the Cupcake Fairy and her class! (Check out the "cupcake" on her hair--its a scrunchy with a pink hair puffy ponytail! I was proud of that creativity!)
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!!!
This weekend was a crazy one for us! We didn't get to go anywhere because Pat had to take my car to work while his is getting repaired! But we tried to have some fun at home.
Sunday was Halloween. The girls were so excited for the evening time to arrive. We got them dresses around 5. Mia was Minnie Mouse, Kayla was Alice in Wonderland, and Leanna was a witch.
We went to Shadycrest's Trunk Or Treat around 6ish. It was really cute and very friendly. All the cars were themed. The Browns met us up there with baby Camila, who was a little pumpkin this year! We saw some of our teachers and some of the girls' friends while we were there too. And now the girls (even the gorwn ups) want to theme a car for next year! We'll see. We may just have to do it!!
After the Trunk or Treat, we walked around the neighborhood. Pat and James took the older girls. And Luisa, Keith and I took the smaller ones in the wagon. The bigger girls were really excited. They walked and walked everywhere. Even the little ones were excited. We did move a lot slower with them though. But they still enjoyed it. I think next year will be a blast--cause all of them will totally get the concept!
Anyway, here are the pics from Halloween. I hope everyone had a good day!
Now...how am I going to get rid of all this candy??!
