We had planned to go to Garner State Park this past weekend...but we didn't make it there. We took a detour to Canyon Lake and New Braunfels! It was just as fun with less of a drive! On Saturday we spent the whole day by Canyon Lake. It was great. The sun was out and there was a small breeze. My sisters and my brother -in-law made fajitas, rice, guacamole, and corn! Yummy! So I was super happy. We ate as soon as we got there. And as soon as we ate, we headed out to the water. It was a little cold at first, but it left great once you were in. Elida, Leanna, Pat and Kayla were the ones who spent most of their time in the water. But it was poor pat and Leanna who got sunburned the most! I think Pat and Leanna were in the water under the hot, bright sun for at least 5, if not 6 hours! Leanna's end result is a nice tan. Pat's end result, red face and red arms! Poor thing!

On our second day, we went to the River. It was a nice, hot, sunny day. So the river water was great...once you got over the cold shock! Everyone got in. Of course the girls were all enjoying the water. Rey and JR. both went and paid for tubes. They went down part of the river a couple of times and walked back to where we were. Even Siena got to go tubing. And she raised her arms as they were going over the rocks! She was cute! And brave. After a few hours of swimming we had to get out. It was time to leave! :0( I know Leanna was sad. But I think Kayla was ready to go!
It was a short trip, but it was a lot of fun. We all had a great time hanging out with each other. And it was good for the girls to all go on a trip together! I can't wait til we do it again! And this time hopefully the rest of the family will join us!
